Amelia's Friends Foundation

Amelia’s Friends Foundation was born out of a simple but deeply personal need: friendship. As Amelia grew older, we noticed she wasn’t invited to as many birthday parties or playdates as she once was, she did not have friends, her neighbors did not want to play with her. Being born with Down Syndrome brings many challenges, and social inclusion is one of them. 

We believe every child deserves the joy of friendship, the excitement of birthday celebrations, and the fun of summer camps. Unfortunately, many organizations do not offer free after-school activities or camps for children with disabilities, limiting their opportunities to connect, build confidence, and simply be kids. 

That’s why we created Amelia’s Friends Foundation—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering friendships, inclusion, and joyful experiences for children of all abilities.
